Shift in Progress Coaching
Balance isn’t perfect - it’s in progress
Have the coping skills?
Know your trauma?
Have the support system?
Why do these matter?
Why do these matter?
Before beginning life coaching, it’s important to have a stable set of coping skills and a reliable support system in place. Coaching involves exploring goals, patterns, emotions, and the shifts you want to make, which can naturally bring up moments of vulnerability or discomfort. Having the ability to regulate your emotions, identify what you’re feeling, and access supportive people in your life helps ensure the process remains grounded and manageable.
It’s also important to have a basic understanding of your trauma history and how it may influence your reactions, triggers, and behavior patterns. This awareness allows the coaching process to stay within appropriate boundaries and prevents unintentional overwhelm. Life coaching is not designed to treat trauma, so having this clarity helps you engage in the work safely and effectively.
With these foundations in place, coaching can remain a supportive, forward-focused space where meaningful insight and growth can happen!
